Yes, and let us not forget the one with the Aerosmith chick and the bombshelter. But, that Journey movie completely blows - even if I were a brat, toward whom the film is obviously directed, I'd be severely disappointed! Directed by none other than that Ricky ( a -hem ) Rick . . . ( little "Champ" kid) :the finger:

CITY OF EMBER-----A very atmospheric little movie about a decaying underground city and the quest to discover what lies above. I really enjoyed this one, loved the design a feel of it, very much in a Terry Gilliam style. Good roles for Tim Robbins, Bill Murray and Martin Landau. If your stuck for a movie to watch on a rainy afternoon, I recommend this one. Very Happy

Hey, Roger, I've seen that one too. Neat sets, good dialogue, I liked it, though, it was perhaps little cheesy and became s l

Get away!!! Take it away from me!!! Been playing Uli Jon Roth today, and my fingers are killing me. Got to go.

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy------------------Some good scenes that had me chuckling but not a patch on the T.V. series. Worth watching though. Very Happy

Tear Jerk - wait. I mean Seven Pounds was an excellent film! Smith commits himself more thoroughly in the dramatic stuff, and does very well with it! Everything was fun in the eighties. Being funny was easy, then.

Purchased the new Star Trek yesterday, watched it last night, and it completely RAWWKS!!! Was highly impressed with the actors' portrayal of the original actors' characterizations. Big shock! Kirk, Cjeckov, Scotty, Spock, Uhura and Bones and never had it so good!!!The storyline held together to the end, and the FX were in line with that good ol' Star Trek model filming. By that, I mean they were not so loaded with the cheesy CGA - re: Jurasssic Park

No, sorry, utter shite ( apart from the Guitar Hero scene, of course ) and the leading lady reminded me of a startled deer but without the acting talent. No

Where did I say anything about her acting ability? I liked the film in a switch off your brain for 90 minutes type thing. The DRC scene is the best scene in it tho & it's really obvious who the bad guy was gonna be.

I thought that was cute and endearing in an afternoon cartoon kind of way, much like Pete said " a switch off your brain for 90 minutes type thing."

The chick was . . . I honestly don't remember the leading female character, but, that's O.K. since she had about as much of a contribution to make to the (a -hem) story as a turn makes to a speedway.

I wish the karaoke guy had been Chris Elliot. You remember the guy who in the eighties won the Dorito's Superbowl Halftime Homemade Film Contest, and went on to become one of the Hollywood elite? Why Kansas? Why Wayward Son?

I must admit that everytime that damn little Eastern Indian with the cell phone and the purple tits hijacked the screen on my HDFP, I wanted to kill myself. Wokka -wokka -wokka -wokka

ST. TRINIANS-------------- No I must be some sort of cinematic masochist !!! Why do I sit through these movies ??? It's not as though I don't know where the off switch is, but I still sit there like a stunned rabbit rabbit Must admit that Rupert Everett's role did make me smile, but that didn't save it !!

CLOVERFIELD (Yet again !!)------------------AWESOME FILM, had to watch this to erase the memory of the above piece of shite.

Why do you persist in watching these remakes? Have you ever seen a film remade that's bettered the original in the last ten years?

Hear, hear!!! Pip-pip! Top o' the show! happy boy kill 'Tis, as before, a timely and shrewd observation, Pete. Would that there were anything better in contemporary cinema than pre-Footloose Kevin Bacon smoking a bone while the forceful end of a dull Camp Crystal Lake sport arrow is muscled through his frickin' neck entire. Well, O.K. I must admit to engaging a particularly ( though, we may say perverse) stimulating visualization which had very much to do with some current "rapper/ rockstar" turned "actor" --- make that ANY "rapper/ rockstar" turned "actor" lying on a camp bunk above a splashy, yet, chronically dissatisfied Jason Voorhees. sunny :head case: sunny

Yes, Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN kicks the original into touch, CASINO ROYALE better than the 1st effort, Peter Jackson's LORD OF THE RINGS and KING KONG best versions made of these stories and THE DARK KNIGHT Heath Ledger and Aaron Eckhart' s Joker and TwoFace are far supreme to Jack Nicholson and Tommy Lee Jones's. All this is IMHO, of course !!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
