Voi Vod Me too.
Gonna get slapped for this I know but....
Journey. Biggest pile of soppy shite I've ever heard. There is no denying Journey have some proper soopy tunes, but most of 'Frontiers', especially, rocks! Listen to 'Serparate Ways', 'Rubicon', 'Edge Of The Blade'...suberb songs...go and YTube them...fantastic. Steve Perry sings in a much lowere range than usual also...more gritty, for him anyway!!! And if you can't tell...I LOVE Journey!!!

| Never much liked Journey myself, a few tunes are ok i suppose.....the now drummer Deen Castronovo mind you is incredible. You should have a listen to him playing on Cacophony - Go Off! (1988), Marty Friedman - Dragon's Kiss (1988), Joey Tafolla - Infra-blue (1990). His drumming on those albums is far more involved and intense than anything he gets up to with Journey....pretty incredible guitar work aswell from Jason Becker and Marty Friedman!! Great stuff if your in to that kind of thing! Matty you don't like Soundgarden..... .....i'm surprised!! Man they wrote some killer tunes, Jesus Christ Pose, Hands All Over, Spoonman......still just my opinion! All the best, Andy | |

| Can't say I ever really got into Soundgarden either...they were just a bit 'plodding!'
Not often I get to use that word!!!!

| Hey Adam, I guess i understand what you mean when you say a little plodding, though there are some great uptempo tunes mixed within the albums, Ty Cobb.........Never Named.........there's a couple both off Down on the Upside! I always thought Soundgarden were pretty clever with some of their arrangements and time sigs, a little bit more muso than the average band maybe! Matt Cameron, another great drummer worth checking out and Chris Cornell has a superb voice, i liked most of his solo work and thought the stuff with Audioslave was killer! Andy | |

| I agree with Soungarden, wholeheartedly! Can't STAND 'em! I disagree with Journey, though. Some of the most melodic, beautifully done solos ever. | |

Hi Andy, Chris Cornell is a top singer & i really liked Audioslave, I just found Soundgarden too boring & depressing I know what you mean about Deen Castronovo on the Cacophony CD & Friedman's Dragon's Kiss, I own both & the drumming is awesome!! Matty

| I personally don't understand why people think Chris Cornell is such a great vocalist? His voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me, and usually sounds like he's half-assing it. Mumbling and such. I hate that whole grunge era whiny mumbling style of singing. So with him, I'm usually waiting for him to friggin' belt something out, and when he does, I regret it. I guess this falls under the category of "To each, his own." | |

| I like sound garden. One of the things I liked about them is they were pretty mainstream and got a lot of radio play which was a nice detour from the pop 20. Not necessarily someone i would go see or buy but nice to listen too. | |
