| I hope you're doing well, Chrissy. I just gave samples of my urine, blood, BP, etc, etc, etc. to the insurance guy. Dude tied the band around my upper arm and as I clenched my fist, he poked a needle into the artery. My blood freakin' splashed out onto his hand and arm! ! ! I didn't know what to say! I was like, "Uhh. Sorry 'bout that, I guess." He said, "No, no, no, it was a good sign."

O, Chrissy, you get Noogie time when I see you, and that's a promise! I experienced the most immaculate George Castanza moment! The guy taking the samples, Jose, asked me if I dislike needles. I said, "Only when they're pointed at me," like he was asking about the time! We laughed our freakin' brains out!

| Oh Chuck you know me...Complaining just wastes air...plus I usually have one or both of my side kicks with me when I go for a shot. Kind of hard to tell them to tough it up and shots are no big deal if I act like a baby...Although I love it when Peter my 3 year old goes..Wow mom thats a big needle!!! Yah thanks... | |

| I think they hurt more if you don't watch, but, then I want to be violent. If I watch, I get to freak with that weird sensation kind of like, you know, when your attention is taken by the split second vision of mangling your finger in the car door, or pulverizing your thumb with the brutal end of a hammer, just before you actually do. Then you're standing there with the raging hellfire of physical pain, and at the same time, your beating yourself up mentally. Like, "Why did I do that?!" So, your body wants to see it because you're physically threatened, but, your will doesn't want to see it because of your social conditioning. It's kind of like floating. Tripp -p -py

| I was used as a pin cushion when I discovered a lump under my chin. Had loads of tests and needles, but the only time I almost passed out ( as you say Chrissy ears go numb, sweat pops out on you forehead etc. ) was when I was put under a MRI scan and had dye pumped into my veins, YEUK !!! Anyway after all that they found I had a Calcius lodged in my saliva gland which they cut out. It was the size ( and looked like ) a large chickpea. | |

Clinical trials mate.. How did you get involved in that? Sounds interesting, tho after those 4/5 blokes almost got killed a few years back I have to say I'd be dubious. Even if it is a rare occurance! But that's sweet money...if they want my blood they can have it for £1000!!!!

| Hi all..Thought I'd give an update on my progress..Today was an interesting day ....
Went in for treatment..they pull blood to mark progress from the last..I guess my doctor was unhappy with the progress i made...so new meds were ordered..lots of side effect warning..and tbh I got mayslef all worked up over it and got scared..its amazing how you can do that..Got emotional...So thank you Adam for talking me through...I couldn't have done it without you... So they ran a test dose first to see if I could handle it without side effects and they added a huge does of anti side effect medicine...2 good things happened ..1. I was able to tolerate it no problem and an hour later got the full dose with no problems..2. The meds that gave me for the side effects lit me up like Christmas..I haven't been that stoned in I can't remember when!!..So when they came buy later I could care less about what shots and when and even got a good nap out of it..So 2 down 4 left....and i'll hopefully be done...

But that's sweet money...if they want my blood they can have it for £1000!!!! http://www.first-search.com/healthyvolunteers.com.htmThe trial you refer too...well about a million (ok not that many) protocols hadn't been followed which is why that ended badly... For example. On the trial that went wrong, all subjects were dosed at the same time thus not giving the study nurses time to see what reactions (if any) were had and deal with them. On my trial each subject was dosed five minutes apart... Little things like this added up to one massive disaster... Of course with any clinical trial there is an element of risk, but then that's what you're being paid for...

Yup! But then how many Planes land and take off for LAX everyday? How many of them do you hear about..only the ones that have 'incidents', right? Same with Clinical trials...
