| Today I meet with Dr. Sears. He is the best childrens neurologist in the nation if not the world. I have over 300 pages of reports, tests and information and a sheet of questions and notes. God please don't let me screw this up and please let him help my son..

Most of those Aerosmith tunes are a REAL return to form...Outstanding in my book. Shame they had to go and do the stero-typical rock ballad tho...

Yeah but 7 ballads (allegedly) out of 13 tracks? Not sure on that figure. All these are pretty cool rockers: http://www1.rollingstone.com/hearitnow/player/streetjesus45.htmlhttp://www1.rollingstone.com/hearitnow/player/gooutthelights716.html - that one could be from any of the classic 70's albums. Simliar vein of Walk This Way. The other links seem to have have been taken down but there is certainly more than 5 rockers on this album. Actually Aerosmith's ballads from the 70's are totally brilliant. Not cheesy like 'Beth'. 'Home Tonight', 'You See Me Crying' (outstanding tune), 'Seasons Of Wither' & lets not forget 'Dream On' are all ballads but have proper class and add to all the respective albums. Ballads aren't all slushy! I could live with 5 ballads of the quality of those tunes above!!! It's the 80's ballads that make me cringe, they are so formula and fake. And Aerosmith certainly had their fair share of those, but they seem to be the ones that become the hits and so sell the albums. To me that's a shame cos the ballad, in the 80's, is usually one of the weaker songs on the album. But hey, that's life.

| Heard a lot of this new Aerosmith album this week...
It has been a long time since an album hit me like this. Without hearing a run through I was moving to the music it just grabbed me.. I will definitly be getting this.

Firstly...Beth isn't cheesy! Aero ballads like above = cool. Anything like "I don't want to miss a thing" = and the ballads I've heard are in this vein. Still I've got the album on order...

Go to bed Chrissy, you're obviously tired and emotional and not thinking straight.
What he said! Beth is a great song. A ballad that actually means something rather the usual guff! Ha ha!!! Beth has actually grown on me over the years, but I do not want to hear it live. Ever. And it's till cringe-worthy!!!

Yeah, whatever the new Aerosmith single is, is typical schmoooozey ballad. Heard it 1000 times before, but on the whole the rest of the album I've heard so far is a REAL return to form.
