- Seeing as we're approching Christmas (and Thanksgiving for US folk) how about a bit of praise for the Turkey (Christmas) dinner?
Mashed & Roast Spuds, Turkey, Stuffing (chestnut, Sage & Onion), Sausage meat, Pigs in Blankets, loads of Veg, Bread Sauce, Cranberry Sauce and a nice gravy. Followed by Christmas Pud with lashings of Rum/Brandy Sauce washed down with copious amounts of Booze!
Lovely!!! You have to have all the extras with Turkey because it's such a bland meat !! Yup! It's the extras that make the meal!

Lovely! sounds like a dirty movie not dinner!!! I knew the US folks wouldn't understand what I meant! Bangers & Mash - Sausages and Mashed Potato smothered in Onion Gravy Spotted Dick - Spotted dick is a steamed suet pudding containing dried fruit (usually currants) commonly served with custard.
