Never heard of Point Blank before, love it !! Great voice and guitar. Although it says '81 it has a very '70s feel. Probably why I like it. The '70s were great !! Off to try and see if I can find a cd to buy. I'm guessing it might be difficult.
*EDIT* No it wasn't, ordered on Play.com.

Stay Frosty...What a Song!!
Brilliant (incredibly heavy) album. Tattoo is the weakest track on here...

Ok. This has been on repeat play since Friday night, time to give an opinion...
Firstly this is NOT a perfect record. It misses Michael Anthony's backing vocals (therefore certain songs sound like DLR solo with EVH guesting) & there are songs that Dave sounds a little stretched (he is 56 though)...
Tattoo is the weakest track on the album, but it's still pretty catchy. From "She's the Woman " right through until "Beats working" everything just fits right. Eddie still has the chops, pulling out some cracking riffs left, right & centre. It's also the heaviest thing VH have done in years if not ever (hello honeybabysweetiedoll).
Stand out tracks for me are She's the Woman, As if, Blood & fire (love Dave's spoken bit), Big River and Stay Frosty (the best thing DLR & EVH have done in years)...
Is it as good as any of the six pack? No. Is it better than anything DLR or Van Hagar have released since 1985? Yes ( this includes Eat'em and Smile)!
