A few of my best friends own condo's Siesta Key & Naples. We try and get there once a year. If I'm lucky!

Do you remember a local band called Stranger?? They did She's a dancer, Okeechobee Whiskey? That was so long ago.

Florida music scene was so cool back then.

Ahhh . . . oops, sorry ( Did someone mention sunshine?!) Boy, you're talking about FLORIDA, Marty! I must say, I am familiar with the areas you referred to, but my heels and toes are sunk more into southern "First Coast" / St. Augustine, "New Britain" to the Ponce De Leon Inlet.

You're more into the "Sun Coast," I believe. I got some of the best training I've ever gotten at CBII, in southern Florida, ( I stayed in Hallandale?) a hundred years ago, and my wife and I homeymooned at my aunt's villa in Ocean Reef/ Key Largo ( the absolute best place in the Keys, to eat, is on Key West/ Atlantic side, and I think it's called the Back Porch or the Porch?!) My dad and I went fishing in the Keys alot when I was growing up, and there really isn't much I can say about the Keys, but . . . it's a whole 'nother world, (LOL) and it's the BEST!!! Island living! Who knew it would be this great?! Er, as long as you don't get sideways with a Navy SEAL at Key West! They go out in teams!

Odd that you mention Stranger! I actually do remember the name, if vaguely! Do you recall Root Boy Slim and the Sex Change Bend ( with the Rootettes)?! Sheez, that WUZZ a long time ago! Can you say Styx/ Cornerstone?! LOL

Pardon me this moment :arrow: Did you say Okeechobee Whiskey? . . . aaaaahhh . . . I don't get by the Okeechobee very often, and the Ecklokonohatchee is inland, down towards Orlando, but, there's a local river that is very similiar called Tomoka - for the (teh-moo-kwah) tribe of Seminole Native Americans, and it's definitely a whiskey river. Super slow, warm, with lots of Manatees! It's a No wake river! LOL MY river is the Halifax, dude!!!

Do you rememeber a band called Savatage? They've since become Trans-Siberian Orchestra, but they hailed from Hollywood. Ofcourse, the Allman Brothers Band ( check out my "How you got into Rock/Metal"post!) and Marty Robbins hailed from Daytona Beach; Molly Hatchett, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Backstreet Boys and Limp Bizkit from Jacksonville. Sorry if I went a bit long, I love Florida. Hey, you didn't happen to go to high school in Marietta, Georgia, did you?
