Any one here like Dokken?
This band has had its up and outs over the years which made for lots of great discussions, good and bad! I loved there Back for the attack LP as it shows! Almost all of the members went there own ways but the music still remains! Any one have any opinions or stories ? Love to hear them....

Awesome band!!...love the Lynch era...Back for the attack is my fave buy them, although i dig the new Cd a lot, Jon Levin makes me laugh!!!.. basically because he sounds just like George on the new one!! ...very cool though!

Asking Upscope to recommend you some Dokken is like asking for a reference in the whorehouse........No matter what you choose you simply can't go wrong!!
"Under Lock & Key" was a great album but it's a little to commercial for Upscope. At least compared to some other choices you have w/ the Dokken catalog. If Upscope had a gun to his head & had to lead you in the right direction though he would first point you to their 2nd studio release "Tooth & Nail".....From beginning to end simply no misses on this album. Here's the cover track to that album w/ Reb Beach & not GL on the axe:

"Back For The Attack" was another solid release but never took off for some reason?? Coincidentally, one of Upscope's all-time favs came from that album. Again w/ Reb & not GL on guitars.

Since I got XM radio, I've been hearing a LOT of Dokken lately. I hear them on the Hair Nation and Boneyard channels (favorited, of course!).
I keep hearing "Alone Again" in my head! It reminds me of being in the skating rink as a kid. Yikes! Something about all the reverb in those early to mid-80's records is very nostalgic to me.

Dokken rules.. Lynch is definitly one of my biggest influences on guitar!
My favourite Dokken cd is Under Lock And Key, so i have to recommend that one..
But the one i listen to the most.. is actually Don Dokken's solo CD, 'Up From The Ashes'. The two guitarists are Billy White and John Norum, and they absolutely tear it up like madmen!! Doesnt get much better than that!!
