I have found several of these crazy terms of Scot and Northeast England dialect at refdesk.com, dudes; hoever, I haven't found all of 'em. Now, while we're huddled in this gray stratus of uncertainty, I wonder if the time is right to beg the question concerning whose English is more proper.
