Ozzy Osbourne is learning to drive at 60

Ozzy Osbourne is learning to drive at 60 years of age just so he can get out of his house.

The heavy metal icon has set set the goal of learning to drive this year, so he can get a little quiet time. He says, "My house is like an insane asylum and I thought, 'It would be great to get in my car and drive around the block - just to be on my own.'"

But Ozzy admits he's struggling to find driving instructors who will give him lessons. He explains, "Nobody will stay in the car with me for more than three lessons; they all think I'm nuts."

His wife Sharon put her life in Ozzy's hands earlier this month when she let the rocker drive her the two hours from Los Angeles to Palm Springs.

SO that's why he nearly killed himself on that Quad bike then, he can't drive!!!

Hahaha, you should Gene with cars, pop the bonnet and he doesnt know what the fuk his happening, let alone drive it..........If you have been driven around for so many years (Coz u can) I wouldnt have a licence either if I had a driver at my beck and call.

I reckon giving Ozzy a driving lesson would be fun I assume he can actually drive in the sense of actually move the vehicle, but obviously the tests are a lot different to actual driving. I passed my test just over a year ago, and so little of it, seems to be relevant. However, some of the manoeuvres are obviously vital. I couldn't imagine teaching Ozzy how to parallel park!

There's just no way he could drive in a straight line with all that shaking going on!!
