We have an appointment with the housing and landlord expert at the Citizens Advice Bureau Tuesday afternoon, to check the legality of our treatment and to see if we have a case against her. We think the 2 months notice is illeagal and we should be given more time. We'll see what the legal eagle says tomorrow.

The only thing we can get them on is that the holding company that has our deposit, hasn't been informed that the landlord has changed their management company. This means that the Landlord can be fined up to £4000 and can't give us notice until all the paperwork has been brought up to date. This will give us about another month but apart from that we've got nothing else. The C.A.B did agree that the landlord had acted underhandedly but had done nothing illegal.

I guess things are different here...If you are on a month to month lease here then the landlord only has to give you 30 days notice....
