| Led Zeppelin - Deep Purple - Black Sabbath All three of these bands were Hard Rock pace setters & pioneers, but which band from the three (in your opinion) has had the biggest influence on Hard Rock / Heavy Metal music over the last 40 years? Each band had their own distinctive sound & all three recorded some of the best Rock anthems ever, but who contributed the most to our music? But before you answer, are we thinking too far ahead? - Is it Hendrix that deserves the most applause? What do you think? Matty | |

| Are you kiddin'?? Led Zeppelin w/o a doubt paved the way for Rock n Roll as we know it.....NOBODY & Upscope means NOBODY can match their catalog & influence.
Top this:
'The Song Remains The Same' 'No Quarter' 'Houses Of The Holy' 'Trampled Underfoot' 'Kashmir' 'Ten Years Gone' 'Achilles Last Stand' 'Nobody's Fault But Mine' 'All Of My Love' 'In The Evening' 'Good Times Bad Times' 'Babe I'm Gonna Leave You' 'Dazed & Confused' 'Communication Breakdown' 'Whole Lotta Love' 'What Is & What Should Never Be' 'Immigrant Song' 'Since I've Been Loving You' 'Black Dog' 'Rock & Roll' 'The Battle Of Evermore' 'When The Levee Breaks' 'Stairway To Heaven'
Each & Every song is a classic. With many others at their disposal LZ is w/o a doubt in Upscope's mind the greatest, & most influential rock band to ever take the stage.

| TOUGH question! All things considered, which are too numerous to even type out, I have to go with Led Zeppelin. | |

| I've been thinking about this and I'm gonna go with Sabbath. Sure Zepp were bigger, but Sabbath were THE rock band in my eyes. I've always thought that Sabbath never fully received the credit they deserved. There is a lot going on in their songs and in Tony Iommi have one of the greatest rock guitarists and riff makers in the history of music. Bill Ward is a fantastic drummer, again sorely underated, Geezer Butler's bass work is just class and in Ozzy they had, maybe not the best singer, but someone who suited their music perfectly. Zepp may have some epics but Sabbath do too! Meglomania, The Writ, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Into The Void, Electric Funeral, Killing Yourself To Live, Spriral Architect, Wheels Of Confusion, Supernaut, Dirty Women, Sweet Leaf, Symptom Of The Universe. I could go on & on... There's alot more to Sabbath than 'Paranoid'... Great as it is!... | |

| I don't think there is a definitive answer here, just personal preference I guess. I like Sabbath the most from the above, just love that heavy laden doom guitar approach. There's nothing more I can say really | |

| ZEPPELIN & SABBATH = power & heavy talent ZEP reflected my more upbeat social side (come on lets party) SABBATH reflected my Darker withdrawn side (leave me the F*ck alone) I am a bit of both so they are a perfect combo still to this day!!!! | |
