I know I should be stronger but this hurts like hell right now...
Don't know if you have considered another little Kitty? It can't take the place of your Jasper but perhaps it will ease the pain a little? It's so sad. Looking at his picture I can see how you could get so attached to him. What a cute face.
We have two others (Kes & Kira) so we have no real need for a third. We would never have had Jasper apart from the fact he was a stray and he found us so we took him in. He's irreplacable to us so for now Kes & Kira get that extra bit of love from us. Kes Kira | |

| Thank you Marty. They are indeed adorable. They're getting that extra bit of love right now as they too miss their brother.
Hope your cat is ok. | |

| A thought occurs to me this morning... Had Tony Bliar & George Bush Jnr not invaded Iraq in 2003 on the premise that Iraq had WMD's (when it was patently clear it was about oil & GB Jnr finishing the job Daddy started) and not over thrown Saddam Hussein would IS have been created and would we now found ourselves on the brink of yet another gulf war??? | |

| Can't resist!!
I will state from the start that the original premise for the 2nd Gulf War, I supported (WMD).
It's only with hindsight and the fact that none were found at all, that it would seem we really were fed a lie. Now I always also believed that Bush Jr also wanted to kick someones ass for the Twin Tower attacks and Saddam seemed as good as any.
Whether he got the CIA to frabricate the WMS destruction lie, or whether it was a genuine intelligence error, is actually unimportant.
We went to war, for whatever reason, but the problem was as many said, what about afterwards?
There is little doubt that no-one would have stood up to Saddam if he was still in power because he would have crushed them. And the west would have condemned and complained, but done little else.
Without any doubt, it is the power vaccum that was created after we got rid of Saddam and installing a western democracy has not gone down well with the people in the area. I do not believe it is the right of a country to enforce regime change on another, no matter how offensive that regime may be, as long as they stay with their own countries bountries it is an internal affair.
But the politics of Iraq is so that it is not set up for a western democracy. They have too many differing factions, and they don't seem to trust each other. And that, from what I can see, is what has lead to IS getting a foothold. They have seen this power vaccum in Iraq, and the weakness of Assad in Syria and used this to their advantage.
But the sheer brutality of IS cannot be allowed to exist, or retain a foothold, in any country. The extremism of this group is beyond compare, killing muslims who who not comform to their own brand if islam and if you are a Christian you might as well just shoot yourself. It'll be quicker than what these beasts will do to you.
I do not believe we should send a full army force again, but I do fully support military action in support of the regions own ground forces. It's time they stood up and fought for themselves but if we need to send in Mr Tom A. Hawk to help out...good.
On a side note, as for these assholes who have gone to fight from the UK and now want to come home...FUCK YOU. You have no place in the UK. You made your choice and now because it hasn't gone how you thought you want to be allowed to come home!?
So, to answer your question, IMO, no we would not now be going to war again, not in Iraq anyway. I am sure though that these beasts would have attacked somewhere in Europe or the USA and we would be in some other country fighting the extremists there, as we did in Afghanistan.

| I'm really enjoying cataloguing my KISS vinyl. Do I mix in the post KISS solo albums with the 1978 solo albums or keep them separate ? Should Double Platinum, Killers, Smashes Thrashes and Hits, You Wanted the Best be included chronologically or kept separate ? It's a minefield !!! | |

| So good news for me today. You have all been listening to me whine about my latest health escapades. Well I got to see the specialist today and we went over everything in great detail and it doesn't look as bad as it does on paper. Seems I have iron deficient anemia which mean my bone marrow is not getting antiquate fuel to produce red blood cells so it is drawing it out of every cell I have, hence the fatigue, aches, and various complaints. The good news in all of this is my bone marrow is just fine and it is easy to replace these missing nutrients and I should be feeling better within a month. My regimen for now will consist of daily shots of B12 and floats and a weekly infusion of iron. I had loads of those infusions last round and the only side effect is a gnarly headache the day of. I am beyond happy!!!! Being at the enology office is rough for me because I feel guilty as hell sitting there plump and with all my hair I have nothing to complain about and now I am so grateful to have he news I got today.
Sounds this this will be a reoccurrence every so many years so just is what it is.. Thank you for the good wishes and prayers...they worked!
