Today my nation remembered this tragedy. Of course you can't mention that day without the terror and violence it represents but after all this time I almost felt a shift. Lots more focus on thank you and support and a lot less on blame and hate. Still so sad after years to hear what they went through. I for one am proud of the new tower and I am looking very forward to seeing the memorial fountain and museum. I watched on t.v.ow they had to get one of the fire engines down inside the museum. They lowered it on its nose with a crane. I watched those firefighters watch it being lowered like you would if a body was going into the ground. This is still so real for them.

I went to my kids school this morning and got to watch the little memorial the school put on. We still say the pledge of allegiance and I am lucky my school district have taken the stand of if you dont like it move!!!
Was very meaningful to see 500 little kids ages 5-10 have a moment of silence. Im not proud for the attitude most Americans have but I am proud of their compassion.

In our papers today they made mention of the fact that many Americans said something similair to this. Many of the victims families have said they feel it's time to move on, and I think that is a brave and difficult thing to say, but you can only mourn for so long.

I'm glad your school still says the Pledge Of Allegience and it's good that the schools mark this day as it should always be remembered. And for later generations to remember then todays generation has to be made aware. That way it will be passed down and never forgotten.

RIP to all who died on 09/11

The downtown area of Manhattan has a very touching memorial for those who died that fateful day. It praises those who lost their lives ensuring no one is ever forgotten but like Chrissy says asks people get on with their lives and never let the acts of some unbalanced radicals affect the way you life your life.

R.I.P those who passed. The Freedom Tower looks impressive (as said elsewhere) and should indeed be a great monument.
