| I've been offered a blu ray player for £35. Apparently it's an all singing all dancing multi-region player that will "upgrade" existing dvd's so I wont have to replace them. Anyone got one of these gadgets and is it really that better a system ?? | |

I personally don't have a Bluray player & I'm not really interested to be honest. I know they upgrade DVD's but you still don't getBLuray quality.

| Hmmm, might have to delve more before I invest. | |

| A while ago in HMV they had 2 set-ups side by side DVD & Blu-ray.
To my surprise the Blu-ray was a better quality, but my opinion is who really cares? DVD is good enough for me and the disks are still cheaper than Blu-ray.
I actually saw an advertising display for some super-duper Hi-Def TV thing and it's selling point was that you wouldn't see blurring on a foorballers ankle when he kicked a ball!!!
Like, seriously...in all my life I can honestly say that blurring on a footballers ankle has never been at the top of my list of things that aggravate me!
