I suspect they will come to Europe, but it won't be a big tour.

I don't understand why they cancelled the dates before they were released, as it seemed to take in a few festivals, which is the best way for them to get a crowd.

In truth I'm not sure what interest there still is about VH over here. You don't see the kids with VH t-shirts, or whatever. I'd be happy if they just did London, as long as they get here... cheer

I wear VH T-shirts!!!! Like Kiss I think to start with the appeal would be with all the old buggers like us...then it'll filter down to a new younger audience...

Yeah but as you rightly say, you, like my old self; are not kids!!!!

I would think we are pretty much their target audience, but I'm not sure how many of 'us' there are left. Interest in this reunion seems surprisingly low.

KISS are supreme at self promotion (toys, toys, toys...but not in the attic!!) and I would think even Family Jewels would open KISS up to a new generation, which I just don't see The Mighty VH doing.

I would love to be wrong, cos VH with DLR produced some the finest albums ever made.

When I go through my CD's I find that the albums from the 70's are the ones I enjoy the most.

KISS, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Rainbow, UFO, Ted Nugent, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple MKIII, David Bowie, AC/DC, Angel, Journey, Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Queen the list just goes on...all the classic albums from these clasic bands were, on the whole, made in the 70's with a step into the early 80's. I think from 1973-1983 were 10 years of sheer brilliance

It's an era that just hasn't been bettered, IMO

Well as you know I love a lot of 80's era rock too but you know what. Looking at that list and thinking about it..DAMN there was a LOT of GREAT Music in the 70's...

Well the 80's ceratinly had it's moments, but I found that alot of it was pretty 'samey'. Every band had a guitarist who wanted to be EVH and much of it was kinda 'formula' rock. The 70's had more originality and the bands had distinctive styles.

I don't think you would mistake any of the bands I listed above with each other, whereas the 80's bands I often couldn't tell you one from another. But we did get RATT, Motley and the classic OZZY from the 80's so not that shabby!!!
