| I'm watching the after math of yesterday massive quake that hit Christ's Church New Zealand....
This one was very shallow and those are the ones that cause the destruction. I am very sad to see the cities great spirals on the People's Church fallen..
This is really bad.....
Apparently a 300 ton piece of ice broke off of one of its massive glaciers and is causing huge tidal waves and even more problems....
I've been through a major earthquake and I feel for those people.....

| I'm sorry but if the authorities knew the hostages were already dead they should have just gone in all guns blazing and taken no prisoners. | |

| saw the news this morning about New Zealand and it looks bad. Hope they save who they can.
Read about the pirates in the newspaper this morning and apparently the pirates had already said if there was any rescue attempt the captives would be killed immediately. Looks like they carried out their threat.
I often now think that we, as race, have totally lost our way. Was watching a TV prog about tribes in South America and how they live and it completely struck me just how different the so called 'civilised' world has lost touch with everything. These people build their own homes in the trees, find their own food, cook it and live what we would think a fairly basic life. Yet I doubt they care about inflation, losing their jobs, economic downturns, rising fuel prices, renewable energy sources, yobs on the streets, if they don't have a mobile phone, not having enough money, if TV companies don't pull in enough viewers to some shite TV show, who wins pointless 'talent shows', sycophantic award shows, what celebrity is dating another and EVERYTHING else that makes the so called 'civilised' world such a pathetic place to be.
But I'm as guilty as everyone else as I would not want to be without my cooker, nice bed, DVD player etc yet at the end of the day it means...nothing.
Perhaps I should have put this in the RANT thread!!!!

Perhaps I should have put this in the RANT thread!!!! When the world ends it'll be these tribes that come out stronger and they don't rely on half the stuff the 'civilized human race' does...
