| Our buddy Lax.. had to take his boy to Children's hospital this weekend...I'm guessing from what I read it was a sports injury but I'm not sure how bad and what happened..Just thought we could all send him and his son all our best wishes and a speedy recovery... | Thx guys. This is the first year of body checking and one thing we really try to teach is not to hit from behind. Well last minute in the game he gave a good body check behind the boards. The other team was losing 6-1 and that kid that got hit skated behind him while he was going in the corner to get the puck and hit him from behind. We couldn't see much besides the hit and I guess he slid into the boards with the kid behind him and hit his knees into the boards. Since we didn't see what happened, all we saw the the trainer go into the corner and call for an ambulance. The dr looked at him, pulled his knee and said that both knees had the same amout of movement and the knee cap isn't broken. So I think it is just sore, but he has a kids clinic to go to next week to double check. He is walking around without the crutches 1/2 the time and is talking about skating this weekend. | |
