| I have been watching them bring out the first 11 miners and that is amazing..What a testament to those people..Warm and loving and so supportive of each other since day one..It's amazing how they have worked so hard and now all the effort is paying off..My hats off to the Chilean president for being there to welcome each miner out..That's class!!

| Heard a story about this miner thing that I thought kinda amuzing... Apparently, after the news of the trapped miners came out and the families all gathered...it turned out some miners have been a bit 'liberal' in sharing their lurve around! A number of 'different' wives turned up to support the same miner and a number of various girlfriends too! I think some miners may want to stay down there a bit longer!!!!! Still...good luck to them. That's some ordeal. | |

I guess she fucked you up a bit more than she did me. Not so much me as the whole country. Just my opinion but I honestly believe many of the problems today could be traced back to thatcher. The 'me, me, me' society. The greed that seems to be everywhere these days. Breakdown in communities. The lack of strength for employees...today it is an employers market and has been since she all but destryed the unions. And I accept that maybe the unions had too much power, but today they really don't have any. She was pretty much a dictator by all accounts. The day she got kicked out of office, and left No. 10, and she stood there giving this speech with tears in her eyes...I smiled a BIG smile. I hope she remembers how that day felt cos that's how most of the country felt while she was in power...dereft, alone and forgotten about. Worst thing to happen to this country in my lifetime to date. Never forget, while Thatcher was in power unemployment was at it's highest in decades. And that is a fact. And it's looking like it's going to go that way again...

| wow...they all got out!
and in good health too...I never thought about what it must be like down below what with all the dust you breath in and that gets in your eyes. Didn't think it would so hot either...I thought it would be cooler the further down you went, until you reach the core that is!
Great story with a great ending.
