Is There Anybody There ?

A very unusual experience occured last night. We were getting ready to go up to bed, turn off the t.v, wash up the tea mugs, letting squirt run in the field for a final squeeze, the normal things you do. When both of us said at the same time "Can you feel how cold it's got ?" and we both could smell a really strong smell of Lavender. This happened in the hallway leading to the stairs, even Squirt, who was halfway up the stairs stopped in her tracks and didn't move for a couple of seconds. It only took a few seconds to pass and we just shivered and laughed. Neither of us felt any menace we just shrugged it off and said it must be one of the house's previous tenants coming for a visit.
Any views or beliefs ? Do we leave an imprint of ourselves ? Are there spirits among us ? Or was there just a strong draft and the herbs are flowering early ?

No. And I'm quite happy sitting here on my own with it absolutely dead ( no pun intended) quiet. I'm not saying this place is haunted but I do believe that there is more to life and death. But then again I believe in U.F.O's so I'm not really the person to get a sceptics point of view from.

I'd like to believe that somehow we carry on when we've shuffled off...

I also find it hard to believe that we're alone in the universe..

Have you been in the hotel in Dudley opposite J.Bs ?? I haven't stayed there but I've been inside. There's definitely an atmosphere about it. Whether it's its reputation making you feel that or that there is really something there, I don't know.

I remember doing a ghost walking tour in Victoria, Vancouver Island. Saw some weird shite then!!! Freaked me right out!

I'd love to do one of those walks, but I know I'd get too engrossed in it. Which probably wouldn't be a good thing.

Edinburgh is...I did not like that ONE bit!

The Canadian one included an old nunnery now offices where the lights went on and off randomly (At 9pm when the offices where empty), the haunted Empress (??) hotel and Helmcken House which freaked me out when the piano could be heard quite clearly despite the place being closed!!!! It's there that I took a photo of the window the next day.....

You've done the Edinburgh one ?? What was it like ?? Did you see anything ??

I've done one (of many) Edinburgh ones. Did I see anything? Not that I can recall. I definitely felt a change in temperatures though...Ruth loved it...me...not so much!

I'm going to have to stop being a girl and experience one. There must be a walk down in this part of the country.
