A Dilemma.

While doing the Hoovering I accidentally vaccumed up one of Stevie's earrings. I didn't see it until a milli-second before it disappeared up the spout. What shall I do ??

A. Ignore it and hope she doesn't miss it.

B. If she does miss it deny all knowledge of whereabouts.

C. Tip out contents of bag and try to find it and don't tell her what happened.

D. Tell her one of her earrings is in the hoover bag and let her look for it. ( If she'd put it away properly this would never have happened )

E. Wait until the bag needs changing and we can both look for it together.

I'm leaning towards E, myself.

open up the bag now!!!!!!
find it and get it over with...then ask her in the future to be sure she puts them up...You will be a hero for getting it right away...

Believe I'd carefully slice the bag open, after gently swinging ( or shaking { the bag} gracefully) the bag in an attempt to determine the general location of said piece of jewelry. This may require the tipping of the top of the bag from the left extreme to the right extreme, or to some degree therein. Ofcourse, you'll be slicing with determined precision on the side opposite that which has been determined to be closer to the earring. Then, I'd dig the thing out and clean it. Be sure to set it somewhere within reaching distance of the phone in the kitchen. There you go! Now, pop in a video of the Morecambe races, grab a bag of peanuts, and crack a brewhau.

Well that's the problem, I don't know. It could be a crappy Claire's Accessories one or one of her favourite Tiffanys, I DON'T KNOW !!!!

Tell her what happened and let her decide? If one of my earrings were in the vacuume I would want to know. If she gets upset offer to go through the bag.

Went for option E in the end and she was fine with that. She did agree that she should've put it away properly, but doesn't know which one it is. So when we change the bag we'll take it in the garden ( avoiding the lawn ) and have a rummage through the dust, then we can help each other get clean.

Buy a Dyson! That way you can locate accidentally vacuumed earrings easier...(Speaks the voice of experience).
