Okay, so Pete gave me this idea! Plus it goes nicely with the Metallica thread Razz (sorry Dave)

What do we think?

I was unable to put more than 10 options. So I removed The World Needs a Hero as I was lead to believe it was Megadeths lowest selling album to date (even lower than Risk).

I haven't even voted in my own poll yet, I'm stuck between Peace Sells, Rust in Peace and Countdown to Extinction Razz

"Countdown" gets my vote rock on

For me, this is the album that launched them into the major league, & rightly so!

"Skin o' My Teeth"
"Symphony of Destruction"
"Foreclosure of a Dream"
"Sweating Bullets"
"Countdown to Extinction"
"High Speed Dirt"
"Ashes in Your Mouth"

All killer cuts!! rock band

But my all time fave Megadeth tune is "Holy Wars" :rockin out: :guitar rock out: total heavy metal heaven! cheesin'

YOUTHANASIA was the first Megadeth album I ever purchased, but the first album I was exposed to was RUST IN PEACE. When I rediscovered it a couple of years later, I found what I had been looking for -- amazing songs with great lyrics, unbelievable riffs, and out-of-this-world solos courtesy of Marty Friedman. Don't get me wrong, Dave's solos are great, too. But Marty did something that other metal guys just wouldn't and couldn't do: he made metal solos much more mysterious and intricate. The solos to "Lucretia," "Hangar 18," "Tornado of Souls," and "Five Magics" changed the way I played guitar.

COUNTDOWN is excellent. All the songs Matty mentioned are so amazing, and my favorite Friedman solo off that album is the one to "Captive Honour." Yes, it was polished and was pure studio gold. But the rawness, the freshness, and the virtuosity and innovation of RUST puts it at the top of my all-time favorite heavy metal albums.

I became a fan instantly after the 1991 Clash of the Titans tour

Featuring Megadeth Slayer, Anthrax and Alice in Chains.

So I went with Rust in Peace due to the year. cheers
