Matty my dear boy...this may peak your interest...

Eighties pop group Spandau Ballet are set to announce they are reforming.

Journalists have been invited to HMS Belfast in London on Wednesday, where the five-piece are expected to reveal details of a comeback.

The band, who had a string of hits with songs like Gold and True, split after a bitter feud, which ended up in the High Court in 1999.

Tony Hadley, Steve Norman and John Keeble sued Gary Kemp for a £1m share of songwriting royalties, but lost.

Hadley told The Sunday People: "The boys are back in town and we can't wait. It's going to be brilliant, we're very excited. But it will be very different to how we used to be.

"Obviously there'll be all the hits, the nostalgia, but there will also be a new take on what Spandau Ballet are about," he said.

Spandau Ballet had their first hit in November 1980 with To Cut A Long Story Short.

After a hugely successful career, they had their last top 40 single in 1987 with How Many Lies.

Since then, brothers Gary and Martin Kemp have become actors, with starring roles in the 1990 film The Krays.

Martin Kemp later became a regular on EastEnders as club owner Steve Owen.

Hadley went on to win ITV reality show Reborn In The USA in 2003 and appeared in the West End musical Chicago in 2007.
