Hmmm, which kinda opens the question who would you like to see singin for Queen?

While I am in no way a fan I actually thought George Michael did a fantastic job at the Wembley Freddie gig...don't know if I'd like to see him fronting Queen tho! Even if it would be very appropriate!!!!... Laughing

Freddie Mercury! And seeing as Freddies Dead then why don't they knock it on the head and go do something else?

Sometimes the obvious answer is so obvious you just overlook it. 'Can't see the wood for the trees' and all that...Good shout there mate.

But if there's a demand to hear Queen stuff then why should they stop? I can think of a band very close to both our hearts who a similar arguement could be made against. But when they, virtually, sell out a Euro tour and South America clearly wants them (amazing crowds!!!!) if there's a demand then why stop?

Playin Devils advocate here, as in truth, I could sound off quite a few good reasons!!!!... Wink

Freddie is Queen. If Gene or Paul left Kiss for some reason I'd want them to stop too..

Can't really argue with that!!!!

Other than to say Queen were pretty much 4 distinctive individuals each with a musical style who just came together under the Queen banner...but Freddie was the lynch pin. Unique.

Not a great fan of this era but you can't argue with the quality of this tune...

If you like Queen (and I think it's agreed most of us do) then I wholly recommend going to see the musical We Will Rock You. Saw this last night and really enjoyed it.

Jam packed full of Queen classics running for nearly 2 and a half hours, certainly more entertaining than the latest Queen record!

He was EVERYTHING you heard said about him live...and then 100 times more.

Truely one of great frontmen in music and a voice that matched.

A genuine star.

Yeah, just listened to Live at Wembley on the Magic tour...

I've seen most of all my fave bands live now (still waiting VH with DLR) but the two I know I'll never see are AC/DC with Bon & Queen with Freddie...

Deep Purple Hughes/Coverdale is the band I'd had loved to have seen. I guess in theory(!) it could happen, but it won't!

Would have loved to see The Sisters Of Mercy with Wayne Hussey too but, again, that'll never happen now.

I'm sure there's others but not that come to mind at present. Didn't we have a 'Bands we would have loved to have seen' thread?

I love Queen...I know BoRhap has been beaten to death but I still love it and I still remember getting "The Game" album for a b/day present when I was in High School...and to me it's a great album. Looks like I'm in the minority here but hey ho...that's usually where I am anyway. Very Happy
