I liked Vancouver. We were only there a couple of days and had pre booked tickets for some Ice Hockey. The poor low paid players decided to go on strike so we didn't get to see the game. Still, with some of the refund I bought a 1978 Gene helloween costume. Result.

We liked Vancouver too but they have the worst homeless issue I've ever seen in a major city. Never felt at risk but it was uncomfortable at times wandering the streets when it was getting darker. Vancouver Island on the other hand...if we could up sticks and move anywhere in the world...

I taught at Princeton for two and a half years. Why do I do this? Because the money's good, the scenery changes and they let me use explosives, okay?
