Minor Guitar repair question

One of my favorite guitars has some sharp metal areas that need to be filed down. It's mainly the Bridge area when I am palm muting or finger picking.

Also On another guitar the same thing on the frets. Just a few snags here and there but very bothersome....

Can I just file these areas down myself without bringing this in to a shop? Don't want to ruin anything, Thanks, Marty

Here's one of my guitars, the OLP MMF1 - Its a Ernie Ball (Eddie Van Halen) Music Man officially licensed copy, & for £200 she plays like a dream. Infact it plays better than my Jackson DK2M, which is a bit of a bummer cause the Jackson cost £150 more

I'll post some more pic's of my other axe's!

Hey Guys,

To answer Matty's question (sort of ), I have a few guitars. . .more than one and less than 20.

All I play anymore, however, are my two McNaughts. Both are V's (the V5 model), and all my other guitars are REALLY lonely.

The first one they built for me came about a year and a half ago, and I lovingly call her "Venus."

I know it ain't everyone's cup of tea, but I'm in love with this ...

This is my other pride and joy. Within one week of getting Venus, I HAD to order another McNaught. I wanted this one to be a pure beast -- basically Venus' evil twin brother. Both David McNaught and I are huge Darth Vader/Star Wars fans (not the kind with the toys in the boxes and all, but we dig it ). Needless to say, if you look at some of the other pages on this link, you'll see David's really getting into building it. In fact, he put the little Darth Vader figure in the case in a plastic ...
